You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service. By registering, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
Account security is your responsibility. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials. Do not share your login with others.
Your content: You retain full copyright and ownership of any manuscript, text, images, or other materials you upload to the Service ("Your Content"). By uploading Your Content, you grant Formatrix a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process, store, and format Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We will never claim ownership of your work.
Our platform and templates: The Formatrix platform, software, design templates, formatting algorithms, visual elements, trademarks, logos, and all related intellectual property are and remain the exclusive property of Formatrix and its licensors. These are protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws.
What you may not do: You may not copy, reproduce, reverse-engineer, decompile, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Formatrix platform, software, or proprietary templates without our express written permission.
Your manuscript is yours — always. Formatrix only uses your content to deliver the formatting service you requested and nothing else.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. You must not upload, transmit, or use the Service to distribute content that:
We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.
Formatrix offers the following service tiers:
All prices are in USD. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout depending on your location. Payments are processed through our third-party payment processor and are subject to their terms.
Finality of payment: All purchases are considered final upon delivery of the completed formatted files and author sign-off. For details on when refunds are available prior to delivery, please see our Refund Policy.
Ultimate Pass commitment: The Ultimate Pass is a one-time access purchase that grants access for the stated duration. By purchasing the Ultimate Pass, you acknowledge the terms of access as described at checkout. Unused access time is non-transferable and non-refundable after sign-off on any completed project.
Chargebacks and disputes. If you initiate a chargeback with your bank or payment provider without first contacting us, we reserve the right to suspend your account pending resolution. Please reach out to us at support@formatrix.polsia.app before filing any dispute.
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and handling of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Service provided "as is": The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Formatrix disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
No guarantee of results: While we strive for high-quality formatting outputs, we do not guarantee that the Service will meet every specific requirement or that formatted files will be accepted by any particular publishing platform (such as KDP or IngramSpark), as those platforms maintain their own evolving technical specifications.
Limitation of liability: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Formatrix and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities — arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid to Formatrix in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Formatrix, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
We reserve the right to assume exclusive control of the defense of any matter subject to indemnification by you, at your expense. You agree to cooperate with our defense of such claims.
By you: You may close your account at any time by contacting us at support@formatrix.polsia.app. Closing your account does not entitle you to a refund for any purchased services, except as provided in our Refund Policy.
By us: We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, including for violations of these Terms or non-payment. In cases of serious violations (such as uploading malware or infringing content), termination will be immediate.
Effect of termination: Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property rights, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and governing law — will survive.
We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes after termination, as described in our Privacy Policy.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware. By using the Service, you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable under applicable law, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
